Official "almost" paper money thread

Got this back in change today. The condition isn't that great but it's a 7 of a kind and it's 8's and from what I heard the number 8 is consider lucky by the Chinese. May hang onto it because I need all the luck I can get.

I think you're being very generous with 'the condition isn't that great'. But since it's only being saved for the lucky 8's and no added value, the condition is moot.

Even in the lower grade, seven of the same digit, particularly eights should bring a premium on eBayIMO. Maybe just beer money. May or may not be worth the hassle trying to sell

I figured with all these almost serial numbers on FRN's, I figure this would be the place to post an awesome number but not on a FRN.

Of course, for a big chunk of the world, that happened February 12 of this year.

Edit: and I almost dropped my laptop when I turned it around and turned it upside-down to show my wife...

Almost a Radar

 

Meh, two digits away from being a binary, I guess that makes it an almost "almost", lol.

 

Sure wish that 3 was a 0

 

....or that 0 was a 3.

 

Was looking through some of my notes and discovered that I almost randomly found matching serial numbers..

Back in November I found a 2017 note I saved that had a fairly high serial number and while organizing them today I found a 2009 that I had also saved at some point and they are, considering the odds, really close...

 

Since it's not really an 'almost' anything, I'll call this a "Double-Take".. a bill that gives you that fleeting "Ooh!!!" and makes you take a second look only to reveal a big nothing...
