off center

    When your note shows some of the outlying ink from the adjoining note. The off centering of the note you posted is insignificant IMO.

    TPG would knock off a point for off center but I don't believe that's what you were referencing.

    All of the printed area of the note is easily visible...but the margins that frame the note are uneven. The note has a skinny left margin.

    Off center, or misaligned print includes part of the printed area missing.

    Slightly off but not enough to increase its value.

    Being off center is a bad thing ! and personally i would not consider that
    an error a gem note that is really off center has a chance to be dropped
    in to a 60-63 grade all very undesirable :(
