Odious Commodius

    This silver denarius of Commodius arrived this afternoon. It is ID'ed as RIC 56 or Van Meter 58.1. It is COS IIII 181 AD. Reverse is goddess Minerva with Javelin and an Owl at her feet.

    Beautiful Mat. Nice and crisp. I got the denarius to go along with a Commodius bronze I own. I only wish the owl at her feet was sharper on my coin. But, what the heck.

    Here is Juno with a nice Peacock at her feet on the reverse of this Claudius the Goth Antonius.
