Help! Hubby handed me a filthy dime, 2 hours of cleaning and STILL looks odd to me. Any ideas?

Some dirty substances will not come off without some serious scrubbing. Looks like it is a dirty and damaged coin.

Fully agree with dirty & damaged. I find it odd this is the second dime to appear on here this week that seems to be damaged in almost a sinister appearing manner.

And the bulge at the date is from exposure to excessive heat resulting in a bubble forming between the clad layers.
