Oughtta just take them back to the bank... What in the world is that ancient looking thingy in the second row down on the left? Good start to a very busy Friday, will post later when I crack open the rolls after I finish work - much later tonight probably.
That Canadian cent stood out at me and I thought you had a box of foreign coins. Oh wait, there's more copper in Canadian pennies than US ones, at least since 1982. Nice purchase. Have fun with those rolls.
Had another really long day at work yesterday, so I didn't even bother to go through the box until today: A neat 119 year old find, joins it's other 30 or so IHC compatriots in my finds book. The contents of the box produced: 1 1896 IHC 1 1934 14 other 40s and 50s wheats 1 '69-S Then the box of nickels produced: 1 1936 Buffer 1 1941 in BU 2 '40-S 9 40s dates 1 '43-S silver The fun of the find was magnified yesterday when I went and took a box of candy to the teller at the bank I got the boxes from, they know they get goodies if I find anything 100 years or older - the teller was absolutely giddy with the box of candy and was dancing around the work area showing off her prize. She is a bit of a collector herself so she is always on the prowl for good stuff.
