[QUOTE="Cachecoins, post: 4789243, member: 111237"]It's not political for me. The problem I recently had with the slow delivery was covid related. My home delivery has always been pretty good although I have been getting mail from the guy who lived there before for about 5 years and nothing I could do to stop it.. I have heard people complain through my life and offer horror stories of terrible service and I always wondered why because I never had a bad experience.

However....I managed an office building for several years and I realized what they were talking about was true is some cases. Every time this happened, we stopped getting mail. That is...about 20 businesses stopped getting mail. Then I would need to try to get it delivered I would call but nobody would answer, I would go there and I would be told that the post master was not there and they will get back to me but never did. I would put in an official complaint on a national line and by the time they investigated and got back to me a week or two of no mail would already go by and mail would be delivered again.

This happened over and over again. Come to find out that when carrier went on vacation they gave it to another carrier who had his own route. He did his route first and the other guys route later. By that time the building was locked so he did not try to resolve it and just threw the mail in a mail bucket. Then....worst of all...when I came to complain they found the bucket and just gave it to me...never bothering to confirm who I am. Just handed it to a person whose name they never bothered to get. This continued to happen, they never rectified the problem to get the replacement to deliver earlier when the guy went on vacation.

So the US Post office has serious problems in places. That is...that if you DO have a bad experience with the post office and you are in charge of rectifying it, you will grow to hate them. Several times a year the carrier that delivered to the building went on vacation. Every time this happened, we stopped getting mail. That is...about 20 businesses stopped getting mail.
