Mintage - 20,000 I always wanted this coin. Checked off my list! 2nd Purchase - Spain - Madrid 2 Real 1761 AD Carlos III Grade - VF (Ignore the price.. I always ask for a better one! )
Why did you always want one? Is this a rare date? Are you working on a set? Did you like the design? What attracted you to this coin? It looks like a nice one, so congrats on the purchases!
I saw this coin at the ANA show in Philadelphia back in 2018. The design was really nice. My wife who was with me at the time liked it also. She was born in the Dominican Republic and she had never seen one. I told her that one day I will get one. Today was that day!
The Plano cases are great to show off a slab at the next coin show or protect loose coins as well. Sad news is Walmart does not carry these cool cases anymore. They were $6.00 each. I house my slabbed coins in them to protect them.
I should have introduced myself when you passed Karl Stephens table. I was too engrossed in several Canadian coins. Apologies.
@Old World Coins Hey.. I just wanted to share this thread of mine to see if you were interested im seeing some of my pick ups
I always loved the south and Central America coins. They had me hooked with counterstamps. My favorite I first bought (unfortunately cleaned) as I was still new to the collecting field is a Guatemala 1/2 Real Counter stamped on Peru Un Sol.
