wish i could be... there are things i would to do in NY (all touristy things)... visit the first subway outlet, catch a train (or metro), catch up on some spicy food.. and see some place where i get coins in pounds.. .. just curios, are coins more expensive in NY then in rest of the US... coins aka foreign coins/us coins in raw no fancy dates or anything..just by the pound... and here is the best part... would love see pple honk, busy crowded streets ... would feel just like back home
It's OK - I just got back. I took my daughter, Shoshana, and my Son, Shmuel-Lieb to the show. We had a blast. We saw a ton of coins and the Waldorf was fantastic. We picked up a few goodies including a Hasmonian coin, and a Jewish first revolt prutah coin, in addition to some Indian Western Satraps 1st century BC Dracham, Kashmir from about 1500, Byzantine 6th cent AD, an Israeli Silver Commem, Indio-Sassanian Dracham from about 850AD, a Kurdistan silver falcon which confuses me because I thought there was no Kurdistan, and some mylar flips. I hope to get photo's up soon. I need to find the USB cable for my camera. Nothing expensive but a lot of fun. Ruben
I had to pick someone up at the airport, found out the other night that she was flying into PHILLY! "Uhh, well they said it's just across the River from Jersey" And she missed her flight so I got to knock around the area for 4 hours so I hit up the Burlington show, nobody was there though, they were packed up before 2pm.
