Just my luck with electronics... I did find three photos of me from the Summer Seminar: http://www.money.org/blog/posts/2013/june/25/photos-lunchtime-fun-and-more.aspx - Bottom picture, in the middle on the right http://www.money.org/blog/posts/2013/june/25/photos-a-look-at-the-summer-seminar-book-sale.aspx - Bottom picture, the YN with the striped shirt None of them are a great photo of me though...
It certainly is! Doomed for sure. Please sell me all of your coins cheap, since they won't be worth much very soon! PM me your offer, remember it'll be worthless soon.
During the time period I have been collecting, in the organizations I belong to the average age has risen from 55 to 56 years old. If the average age continues rising at the same rate it will reach 60 years old in 2153. And remember that is the AVERAGE age so there are younger people as well. I'm not too worried. Face it folks it is an "older person" hobby, always has been and always will be. (If you can find pictures of club members/officers in old numismatic publications you will notice that even back in the 40's and 50's the average age was in the 50's too. The average age has been in the fifties for at least the last 75 years.)
I guess I have to agree with condor101. I have belonged to a coin club for many, many years And new young members are rare. As a matter of fact we have discussed this subject at our meetings A few times, that as members pass on ,there are no new younger members to take their place. Our membership is down but sadly by members passing on.......
