Implying there was excitement; a debate involving a well established numismatist and a young man eager to learn. Lol the (differences) in experience really seems to bother some people. Coin talk is great though, tons of willing and knowledgeable collectors. Cointalk is love.

Nah, Ken is pretty think-skinned, and it gave you spunk!

Don't worry about it, we all make mistakes once in a while. I have made multiple defensive comments (that were wrong on my part and in bad taste) about people saying "things" about out generations and I still beat myself up about it.

    Thanks,
    Jacob

Let's get this thread back on topic....

Beginner/Advanced - If you have to buy that cleaned coin, make sure what you pay reflects the cleaning.

All Levels - Assume that "not so well focused" coin on ebay is harshly cleaned, and find a different one.

Don't buy blasted cleaned coins to begin with........

Ain't that the truth! I'm about 2000 coins behind in my record keeping, and I dread the hours ahead of me to catch up. :(

Only if you want to cheat the Goobers........wait a second, don't keep the records....

@Mike Drop , We love new collectors, especially ones that are eager to learn. You have so much to learn, it is okay to seem like you don't know much. I have been collecting for about 2 years and still barely know anything compared to someone like @green18.
