OK - I'll tell ya flat out - I paid $320 for that very coin. So no - you wouldn't likely be able to find one for under $100. But you can purchase one like this for about $55 ;)

I started my collection with a few gift coins and added to it by going thru pocket change and rolls. I have purchased a few coins from the mint but don't have much interest in coins that don't have a regular circulating counterpart. If the state quarters were only sold thru the mint I don't think I would be interested in anything more than my home state. I much prefer older coins that have the "they don't make them like that anymore" appeal.

    Hello again, Rob.

The simple answer, would be "no".

It would probably be easier for me to list the types of coins and Exonumia, that I don't collect, than those that I do.

Actually, I began collecting in the mid-sixties, when I was given a coin by a relative. I was soon collecting circulated nickels, and I haven't stopped yet. Collecting from circulation, remains one of my favorite pastimes.

I have ventured into many other areas of Numismatics, over the years.
I have a very good library of reference materials, some nice US Mint products, some complete series collections, high grade, uncirculated coins, Proofs, obsolete coinage, World coins, etc., etc...

Oh yea, I don't want to forget one of my favorite passions, Tokens and Medals.

Although my main interest has always been Jefferson nickels, I've never been happy limiting myself to just one area.

Of late, one of the most rewarding aspects of the hobby, for me, has been the Internet. The vast amount of information, and the ability to share my hobby with other like-minded friends, has to be counted amoung my greatest "finds". :)
