I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unless they are of a very high grade (66 and up) or a notable mint error. These are only worth FV. (face value) the silver ones are only worth the silver value unless they meet the above criteria.

Bicentennial coins are nice, but not rare. I used to think they were, until I got a $500 box of Kennedy and found around 50 of them
No, you should have! The problem is that certain coins (such as these) suffer from extreme popularity, from the get go. This coin features not only a most popular President from back in the day, but also the bi-centennial designation - a double whammy so to speak. People collected & hoarded them from day one! Therefore, there are very many pristine, MS coins out there competing, & unfortunately, yours doesn't measure up, ergo, the low value.
