I don't want anybody, and I do mean anybody, to post a 2017-P Lincoln in the "What's it Worth" forum stating that they have never seen a Lincoln cent with a Philly mintmark. http://www.coinworld.com/news/us-co...rk-added-to-lincoln-cent-for-first-time.html# Now, if someone finds a 2017 with no mintmark, that's a different story! Chris
And don't get any ideas about scraping the "P" off the coin because we now have a new member @Electron John who can tell if it has been altered. Besides, Bounty is best for removing P from the surface. Chris
I actually think it is a pretty good idea. One year only design, should make some interest in it. I might see if my bank has a few rolls I can grab.
This is late news. I broke the story first! hahaha https://www.cointalk.com/threads/2017-cent-will-have-p-mint-mark.289459/
I hope this turns into a 50 page anti-Mint hate thread due to the very slim possibility that someone is going to get taken for thousands of dollars soon!
Perhaps this is why your calls not to criticize in Carr threads usually falls on deaf ears... Well, that and the hate you spew towards copies not made by your crush.
Where have you been? This is one of the @Electron John close-ups with a little bit of color manipulation by @paddyman98 .
I hate it. If they are insisting on making these then they should give them a better strike and more detail to Lincoln. Otherwise just stop making cents. The shield cents are a disgrace to Brenner's Lincoln. Im sure they will still make 100 billion, so once again the mint will produce another gimmick coin for the masses to blow their money on, only for them to end up rotting away from being thrown in sticky cup holders and stuck in the bottom of change drawers.
