I don't want anybody, and I do mean anybody, to post a 2017-P Lincoln in the "What's it Worth" forum stating that they have never seen a Lincoln cent with a Philly mintmark.

I actually think it is a pretty good idea. One year only design, should make some interest in it. I might see if my bank has a few rolls I can grab.

This apparently is a cheap 225 year commemorative and they revert back to no MM next year.

I hate it.

If they are insisting on making these then they should give them a better strike and more detail to Lincoln. Otherwise just stop making cents. The shield cents are a disgrace to Brenner's Lincoln.

Im sure they will still make 100 billion, so once again the mint will produce another gimmick coin for the masses to blow their money on, only for them to end up rotting away from being thrown in sticky cup holders and stuck in the bottom of change drawers.

 

I'm sure the cent is on its way out within the next 4 years
