Your photos aren't clear enough to make a call. We can go roundy round about you saying the coins are or aren't, the fact of the matter is that your photos need to be better. You can send these to a variety expert. It might be good to have someone check these in hand so that you learn from the experience. Although most of the coins if in fact a true variety, might not be worth the expense.
Your 100% absolutely correct. And I value your judgment. But I'm working on getting iPad and scope cam. Im disabled and money is few and far between. This is all what people has gave me. Give me a couple of weeks. And ill have cam. Just bought car yesterday.
I'd drive quite some distance to sell stuff at a pawn shop that pays that much over melt for 40% silver. Are you sure they didn't mean they'd pay $2.75 per dollar face value on 40% coins, in other words, for a pair of halves? That sounds more in line with the shops around here (although, of course, they'll pay much less if they think you'll take it). The shop I frequent tries to buy silver around 2/3 of melt, and sell it around 1.33 - 1.5 times melt. The shop I don't frequent tries to buy lower and sell higher than that. (Why do I frequent even the first one? Because I'm not selling to them, and they don't search very hard for better dates. I was happy to pay 1.5 times melt for an 1895-O Morgan.)
I’ll retract my earlier comment. Read all the OP’s history The first quote above is the OP having delusions of Grandeur. The second and third are a couple of comments made about the OP during the OP’s thread about Barber quarters. Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding
