And yet, politics remains male dominated. And right now, I can name you a Middle Eastern country which has a higher percentage of women in its Legislature than Canada, the UK, or the US. Iran. They also have a higher percentage of female doctors. There is no reason to think women will dominate politics any more than we would expect them to dominate basketball, auto mechanics, or skeet shooting. Is the reason oppression or a lack of opportunity ? Nonsense. The reason is obvious and unchangeable, and yet most are scared to say anything : men and women, as groups, are intrinsically different. Any reasonable person would expect men to dominate certain things, women others.  Some things change no faster than evolution.[/QUOTE]
