Not sure about this 2008 state quarter and what would be the value

    I have a 2008 new mexico state quarter and lookes to have extra metal on front and back sides and wanting to know what is this called and what would be the value and would it be worth getting graded or if i could get a nice price ill sell it. Thank you.

    I see what 'might' be a die chip in "God", and
    a die chip in the 'B' of Liberty.

    These are very common, minor die chips,
    and carry no premium to maybe a dollar
    or two to an interested collector.

    Every coin struck from those dies will have
    the same chips, and so there are probably
    a few thousands of them out there, if not more.

    They're interesting, but common, I'm sorry to say.
