That would be a "TypeII Blank" I believe. Even the Red Book says Copper= $3
and Zinc=$2. I would say it is worth more that 1¢

Blanks are cool. I have a copper one. That one looks like zinc. (Weigh it)
I don't know why there is a higher premium for one without a rim.
You can tell more easily that it's a real blank when there is a rim.
    Nice score.

I found one of those and thought someone sanded it. Time to go through my bucket of copper.

I would be scrounging through that bucket right now.
Besides my legit blank, I found something. At first I thought it was a cent blank, but then I realized it was too small. It is the exact size and weight of a dime, so I thought it might be the copper core of a dime. But then I realized it would have to weigh less than a dime. It's just a blank copper disc the exact size and weight of a dime. So I kept it. But I don't know if it is anything or not.

This is why I open rolls of solid new pennies. I found one once but it fell in a crack in the ground.

Took some searching but I found it. Unfortunately, this one was definitely sanded.
The reverse is a normal strike with a rim, but the obverse is flat with no rim. It weighs 2.64g. If you look at it closely you can see the file marks.
    Oh well, maybe next time.
