This is why people need to know the difference between true Mint Errors and Post Mint Damage! It already has 11 bids. I will give the final sale price when it ends soon Altered - Vice Job
Hope it's not too expensive a lesson. Then again, the bigger the burn the more they'll remember to look things up first.
did you see the scratch above the Y ? lol I can't believe ppl are bidding this up. here's the description ... 1998-d lincoln Penny One Cent Coin Mint Error. Shipped with USPS First Class Package. PLUS .. $4.25 shipping
Well, not exactly like this. What would be worse is if the winning bidder posted it on CT as an error but refused to believe anyone when told it was just damage. ~ Chris
Here are some other unbelievable items before the Cent in question ends.. Enjoy ... Plating Damage ... Misaligned. Not transitional error ... Damaged? $150.00?
How'd that old song go? "Some will rob you with a six-gun and some with a fountain pen bogus error auction..."
I know, right ? ... very tempting if I could just get past the immoral part of it as I know better ...
The trick is to squeeze a cent between two nickels, that way you dont leave any rim marks on the coin lol
If you are really tricky you can also take another penny and cut/grind the rim off so it's not so obvious.
