I was in the 8th grade when the new clad quarters came out. I offered 50¢ a piece for them on the playground.

    Young and innocent.

    Still learning.

And no, I did not keep any of the originals...

And you're right too. I've received my share of swift kicks to keep me on the straight and narrow back at that age........it's just that I thought the thread was going to be turned into a flaming match, and pile-on, and I wanted to illustrate to some that we were all young (and sometimes) remiss in what the consequences of our actions would lead to. With the light of reality shined on the situation the young fellow thought it all the way through and reassessed his initial actions.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Yes, of course I was. But I was raised to know that cheating people, and being dishonest, is wrong. It never would have occurred to me to cheat people like this.

So that makes it right for the kids to be crooked? I find your lesson in ethics to be appalling (and not even close to funny). I'll call the dealers out for being crooked just as fast as anyone else - or faster.

If its right, its right. If its wrong, its wrong.

You will actually get no disagreement from me here. I was merely being pleasant in my response, as I often am. I suppose my posts can be misinterpreted as I noticed some people occasionally misinterpret other people's posts. Oh well, such is the frailty of life. Ha, ha!

I can see that, especially since your post was fairly early on in the thread; good point. Like you, I only wanted to generally add that while its all too easy to cut the younger ones breaks, sometimes that little kick is, or perhaps can be, a break in disguise.

If the OP is being truthful and has seen the light, be it because it's right or out of concern over potential future repercussions, I suppose that's all that matters.
