I would like to ask my apologies to all members of the community who felt injured with my previous post. I didn’t wrote that the coin in question is a forgery, but I raised suspicions based on facts that I exposed to Bing through a private conversation. I’m new here in CT, and of course I know that my opinion can be questioned. This is not a matter to me and I respect that. I also respect all opinions.

Yes, I can say that is notorious the production (or commerce) of forgeries (superfakes, others with artificial patines, others less convincing) from Spain has been known for long time. I have a lot of contacts with numismatists from Portugal, where I got information about a flood of ancient (Roman and Celtic-iberians) and medieval coins. This is not a fresh news. I’m part and active member of the largest online Numismatics community in Portuguese language about 10 years. This is an old issue and notorious over there. I also have many coins purchased in Spain, without any problem. But I just take great care of some sellers and the provenance of the coins. I think that if there is 1% of doubts about the authenticity of a coin, however much I feel sorry for it, I’d rather leave it. But it's just my opinion. I have some convictions that made me suspect the Bing’s coin, with all due respect. Of course, for ethical reasons, I will not put them publicly, but I can answer them in particular for anyone. If I’m wrong, once again, my sincerely apologies.
