No way just found this 1937 D 3 legged buffalo? Please need real help!

    If I recall correctly, there is an in between stage where the abrasion reduced the outline but did not remove it. I think that it is referred to as 3 1/2-leg variety. Not saying that this is it but something to explore.

    I think it is the 3 1/2 leg variety. It looks like it’s faint but still there. The die state before the 3 leg

    Rear leg, Pluribus, mint mark location don’t match

    I checked Cherrypicker’s and the 3 1/2 leg varieties are 1927 D and 1936 D.
