I always like gold the best, the coins keep their lustre, some minted 1500 years ago, look like freshly struck. Even when submerged in saltwater for 300 years this metal is uneffected/ while AR/AE are corroded from salt. However, I have started into AR coins, I must say these coins have incredible lustre, just like my AV examples. About fakes....If you stay with reputable auction firms/ CNG/Kunker/Gorny&Mosch/Roma/Rauch etc., you can sleep well, knowing coins are geniune/ correct grade.

So how do we account for many similar coins on acsearch. This reverse comes with a variety of busts too. Am I missing something?

The longer I stay here the more puzzled I become about what on earth is going on.
