I got them at a coin shop where they were in the same roll they had been in from the bank!!! Nice toning on almost everyone... Speedy
U talking old or new? Nickels? On new bison, there is a detached leg, a fancy A and a speared buffalo
I picked one up for $14.65 plus shipping. I have seen the book before and it has alot fo great varietys to find.
I love searchin through nickels.... I think Jefferson's are close to being my favorite coin, along with the Lincoln wheat cents. I need ONE MORE NICKEL to fill my 1938-2005 Dansco Album, all of which were found in circ. except for the 50-D FS, which just looked SO GOOD that I had to get it for $6.00! All I'm lookin for now is a 42-D (Silver nickel).... Then I can start a second set! ~AJ
all of you have found some cool nickels! i'm just starting, so i feel like there might be times where i dont realize what i have. but thats ok, 'll find them sometime *plus, all the coins of gone through i havent used yet * i think i favor the nickels, and i'm not too sure why. i think is becasue once when i was around 7, i found a buffalo nickel on a beach in maine. i was so excited becaues it looked so cool and the date was really old. i held onto that for a long time, but it got lost in one of our many moves i'm afraid i dont even remember what date it was. but thats ok! i'm having fun, and now i'm old enough to realize what they are
koinpro.com will give you a little help on some of the "other" errors out there. Look on auctions and visit pcgs, or other sites that list the coins they slabbed. As for me, I do the same for cents, i could give you a list of what to look for there
also wanted to let everyone know that there are used book places that you can get used issues for pennies on the dollar. One that I know of is bookfinder.com
i keep any pre-1970, all s mints, any 1982, 1983, 1984. I look them at the 80's dates for mint state because I feel like they are going to be key dates in mint state condition. I also keep any that could be ms-60 or better. As was mentioned earlier, the 1999 p coins seem to have alot of errors. What i am unsure of isthe 2000 and better series. they seem to have indistinct numbers and letters. Almost like a fade...anyone know about those?
Oddities Look here>>> http://koinpro.tripod.com/ErrorVarietyList.htm And on this site for the CONECA TOP 100. This will give you Pennies, Nickles, etc.... Hope this helps, David

McKinley, Don't forget to try out Coneca's Website at "www.conecaonline.org" and you don't have to to be a member or pay anything to use it! They have a wealth of information on the site from new finds to Master Lists of most of the Doubled Die and RPM Error coins. Although the Master Lists do not have pictures of the coins, you can usually determine which one you have (DDO or RPM Error) by matching all or most of the Die Markers (if listed) that are on the coin. Good luck...Frank
no grade HI N.G.C. has a info page on there web site , explaining why they reject some coins after you have sent them in. It is called no grade coins, And I could not find it on there site. But as always my wife found it for me, you see, I still drag my hands when I walk.
ANACS does not do the FS designation but give a step count. 5 steps (FS for PCGS and NGC) 5.5 Steps, 6 Steps and the such.
In my nickel box, i got - 1 war 3.00 worth of pre 1960 and a 2005 BU ms 66+ Ocean missing the "WE TRUST" and "2005-P" only guessing on the MM though.
