My nickel book has a spot for a 1939 T II and a 1939D T II... First off,

What do the T II's mean, and also...

    Where's the spot for my 1939S that I just found :( ?

    It's a Warman's book 1938-1967

the type 1 and 2 for 1939 are referring to the reverse hub used.

In 1939, the reverse hub was modified and the step relief was changed. The old reverse had more wavy steps and the new one had more straight and defined steps. Sometimes referred to as Reverse of 1938 and Reverse of 1940, 1939 nickels have one reverse or the other. Reverse of 1938 would be referred to as Type 1, and Reverse of 1940 would be Type 2
