I went to a local pawn shop and asked if they had any coins. They said that they just had a HUGE shipment brought in. I asked if they had any Liberty Nickels and they brought me about 200 to search through. I was able to find 9 coins that I needed for my V-Nickel book. I was able to purchase 9 V-Nickels (1883 w/ Cents, 1884, 1888, 1890, 1891, 1892, 1893, 1894, 1900). He said he wanted $32 for it. I asked if he would accept $30 worth of old Jefferson Nickels (1938-1959). He said sure...if they don't sell, he'll cash them at the bank. WOW!

Most of the V-Nickels would be considered Good condition as few of them have LIBERTY readable...however, I think I came out ahead plus now I only have 2 spots left in my book (1885 and 1912S).

He told me that he'd rather deal in person because he's tired of selling on Feebay. He said to let him know what to look for and he'd let me know if he gets anything in.

I think I found my favorite new coin shop in town.
I think I found my favorite new coin shop in town. :)
