Nice error?

    Got this one from ebay, still in the airtight holder and red mint box with COA. A Walter Breen book has it as a over polished die giving it #7596. Saying that "the die polishing completely disconnects strokes from the intersection". This makes it look like a "S" instead of a 8. The open space's are small & not easy to see without a magnifier or loop.

    Interesting coin!

    Anyone seen it before?

    Should I move this to the error page?

    agreed, a polished die.

    not a popular variety.

    Take anything Breen wrote with a grain of salt

    I think I have a few of these laying around. I'll have to dig them out and check. I don't have any Breen reference books.
