I am looking at getting a SLQ for my type set. I'd like to get a MS FH example. The one I'm looking at is in a Funbox NGCX slab with a 9.2 "Top Pop" grade. It's a beautiful coin, but looks like it may have been cleaned - snip of the coin attached. Wouldn't they list it as 'details' or does NGCX grade differently? And would the 9.2 equate to 9.2*70=64.4?

Thanks for any details. (See what I did there?)

I'll just say this. I purchased a lovely full head MS65 SLQ years back. Like yours, it had some minor dark toning around the edge and I too suspected it had been dipped. Thing is, I am a sucker for white coins.... Withing five years that lovely SLQ was all black inside the holder..... I think these dipped pieces tend to be prone to accelerated toning after they are holdered.

Grades of 9.x are equivalent to MS6x, so this coin is an MS62.
