Well, after a long wait, I have finally received the grades for my first submission to NGC.
Overall, I got murdered (some expected), but a few made up for the entire submission. :) So I am not going to complain at all.

    Let's start with the bad:

    PCGS said UNC/Questionable Color:
    NGC says UNC/OBV IMPROPERLY CLEANED
    [IMG]

    PCGS said UNC/Questionable Color
    NGC said UNC/ IMPROPERLY CLEANED
    [IMG]

    PCGS said UNC/Improperly Cleaned
    NGC said UNC/ AT
    [IMG]

NGC - UNC/ AT FOR ALL OF THESE
    [IMG]

This one surprised me - UNC/ AT
    [IMG]

These are truly disappointing. This is typical album toning. I have bought dozens of albums with Ikes like this.
    UNC/AT
    [IMG]
    UNC/AT
    [IMG]

2 of these graded 64, 1 graded AU55, and 1 came back improperly cleaned.
I don't know which are which.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    NGC MS 64
    [IMG]

NGC MS64, surprised no PL or DMPL
    [IMG]

    PCGS said UNC/Questionable Color
    NGC said MS62
    [IMG]

And now for the BEST FOR LAST

These two were crossover from PCGS

    PCGS said MS66FS
    NGC said MS67*6FS
*only two graded with stars in FS, both graded 67
book value $275 without the star
    [IMG]

    PCGS said MS66
    NGC said MS67*5FS
*only one graded with star in FS, also a 67
Book value $19,000 without the star

    NGC graded this MS66 5FS
    Only 2 ever graded in 5FS (none in 6FS), 1 is a 65, an one is a 66
    Book value $8250

    And this one

    NGC ms66 BN

Congratulations on those top pop nickels. I can only imagine what it feels like to have something so rare. I bet you were excited to get those results.

On the artificially toned coins, it makes you wonder if they (NGC graders) get biased once they become suspicious on one or two of them. I would imagine the coins all reach the grader in consecutive order.

Wow, I kept scrolling and thinking *train wreck*...and then finally got to some amazing items! Congratulations! As for a couple of the items that did not grade, I would think a couple of them should but for a few of them, they did strike me as pretty obvious AT.

Congrats on some big ones there!

Some nice nickels there Greg, sorry to see so many others body bagged. You know I've always been a nickel nut, that shield should of scored higher. I'm the type who believes that the coins you sent in had of been from let's say Modern coin mart would of all come back as MS grade able coins. Out of all the coins you have posted only one the 1882 Morgan would I question on its color. Like you said most look to be natural album toning .
Glad to see you scored a few really nice grades.
    Cheers buddy Paddy

NICE!!! Greg. I am surprised by a lot of the "Details" coins, but those Nickels will hopefully make up for it. Congrats! Now you just need to change your name to Gmoney. :)

What I am surprised the most about is the consistent application of 'details' applied from both NGC and PCGS. I would probably let it go if both major grading companies didnt like my coins. Although I am still puzzled by the results you received versus the pictures we see.

Some of those coins look pretty darn good to me!

I am surprised! They actually gave that Lincoln what it deserved.

Well maybe now since there are two graded at this, the value may cut in half?

Love that Lincoln! And the Standing Liberty quarter.

Holy cow  those nickels! Kind of funny how it goes from being a $45 coin at PCGS to a $19,000 coin at NGC.

It would definitely be worth having someone do full slab shots and closeups of those top pops.
