The problem I have with this is the the coin is graded and then goes through what NGC calls a quality control where the coin is already encapsulated but goes through a grader a second time to check for mistakes. I still have the coin and will keep it unless I am offered some foolish price.
It's nothing more than a mechanical error when the info was entered for the insert. Quality control is primarily concerned with verifying that the proper grade was assigned. The coin is not slabbed until the grading process is verified and confirmed. Only a FleaBay Bidiot would pay a premium for it, but then again, wouldn't that make you a SleazeBay seller? Call NGC, 800-642-2646, explain the problem and they will instruct you on what you need to do. Chris

I cannot believe that! It's like spelling your business name wrong on your business cards. But I like it! It is the very rare 1880 S Proof Roosevelt dime! And it is also a sample slab! How often do you see an error sample slab![/quote]
Hi! I've got a brilliant example of NGCs mistake. It's a sample coin with label error, and as someone previously said: how often do you see sample coins with wrong label? The coin is Polish 20zl (S20Z - Medieval Town of Torun) issued in 2007 and was labeled as 10zl (S10Z - 750 Anniversary of Cracow) isuued in 2007 (click on the links to see the detailed information abut the coins). It's a huge mistake because we're talking about two, completely different coins, with different denomination and subject. I'm sending you some photos below.
