...it's crazy how the Auction house didn't send this coin to CAC for their customer prior to selling it??? Money left on the table I suppose...or was it ;)

    Why - to use NGC's price guide it was an $125 coin as a 65. As a solid 66 it's a $185 coin...

It sold for 3.5K due to the rarity of the holder... what does CAC add to that?

GC doesn't submit to the stickering firms - only TPGs.

Not true. Ian has submitted mine to CAC on multiple occasions.

Personally, I believe the seller who consigned to GC purposefully did not submit it to CAC for fear that it either wouldn't sticker, or would get a green sticker. That would have lowered the appeal to a lot of people, who chase the higher grade and gold stickers.

The option is on the GC submission form.

...CRO will have the answer to your question after it sells for $4,750 ;)

My guess is the gold bean could garner a quicker sale or maybe they'll hook a gold bean collector that needs or really wants an ngc 1 black for their gold bean collection. Otherwise, yeah, kinda pointless in the grand scheme of things.

I would say any Buyer at $4750, would have to be a long time collector, Willing to sit on it!
I like it but ,not that much!
