    I rather feel sorry for her on account of that business with Theodora. I know political ties have been strengthened by marriages all throughout history, but she got the raw end of that deal.

    At least she was not boiled alive, like some of her contemporary's. Although her church in Constantinople has been defiled. :eek:

    I like the coin John, but in context. If I had a more worn version of her, or if I were studying details of her coinage, I would really like it. For my only Helena, I am not sure I would pick that one. I am with Doug, I would have picked a pleasant F instead.

    It is very much a personal preference, and a preference depending on what you wish to do with a coin. If you just want an attractive coin, usually worn coins will photograph better than porous ones. However, if you wish to study detail, yours is a far superior choice.

    For $20 nowadays, you didn't get hurt. :)
