I am still unclear about what you mean. That Frankie is 50 years old. It is tough to stop toning for 50 years unless the coin was stored properly the entire time. I would expect many of the proof coins of that age to exhibit toning. Here are a few examples: I think I actually paid 4.5X bid for the 1884-O Morgan, it is a pretty coin.
I have toned franklins, proofs and business strikes but nto circulated. You know the 58 D that was on ebay two weeks ago went for like $100+?? that was mine But since theyre uncertified they would be alot cheaper. Lehigh: theyre just not my cup of tea. even a toned morgan proof, I dont like them. If its not seated liberty proof or earlier Im not a fan of those proofs unless theyre untoned. But everyone has their own tastes, I prefer business strikes with toning. seatedlib proofs with toning are okay also but they bring no premium in ym book.
