Newest EAC Addition - 1839 Booby Head Cent

This one is from GC.

Off to St. Louis tomorrow for the EAC Convention.
I'll be looking to get a few Half Cents for my collection.
If I find them too pricey, at least I'll get to see some.
And attend some of the presentations.

Very nice Large Cent, always a joy to see your new early copper purchases.

I don't actually own any half cents. Yet. When I do get one I'd like the 1800 - has the Liberty Cap reverse design and is affordable, but the main challenge is finding a nice one. They seem tougher to find than most of the other Draped Bust half cent dates, although not much more expensive.

 

I think(?) the 1839 Booby Head is variety N-11 (R-1).
