Newer coin: error or post mint damage

    The Copper plating was scraped.

    PMD on the obverse, but either a plating blister on the reverse U in UNITED, or possibly a die chip. Hard to tell from the photo.

    @paddyman98, did you look at that? What say you?

    The area around the U is damage. It's indented and the rim is slightly out of round. The obverse rim also has some flattening in the same area. The marks are probably from what was used to clamp/hold the cent when it had a run in with a grinding wheel

    Your eyes are sure better than mine, but it make sense it was a possible tool mark. I just couldn't tell if it was incused or not.
