I like an old New Zealand"s coins. I have a small collection of these coins and I want to share it with you, Gentlemans
Half crown 1940, silver .500, weight - 14,14 g., mintage - 100800. George VI the King. "New Zealand Centennial".
Half crown 1947, copper-nickel, mintage - 1600000. George VI the King & Emperor. Half crown 1950, copper-nickel, mintage - 3600000. George VI the King.
Very pretty. I always liked the bust type of George V on New Zealand coins. The 1949 fern crown is very nice. Most of my NZ coins are low grade, except for a couple. My favorite design out of all the New Zealand coins, is the bird on the reverse of the sixpence. For some reason I just love it.
I notice no one put up any George V florins. I also have the shillings of the same dates, 1933 and 1934. and all the 3d and 6d from 1940 - 1943. But I have nothing of NZ larger than my florins.
