Unfortunately, this one is not graded PL - it has a * though. I think it just barely misses full PL, although on a good day, it could get it. PL Walkers are incredibly rare, with just 4 having been graded in the entire series (and 190,000 coins graded at NGC alone). On a reasonable budget, a star is as close as I'm going to get. Heritage has sold a couple of prooflike Walkers, and they went for close to $2k.

As fish noticed, this is also a D mint. Almost all prooflikes of this era (about late 1930's to early 1950's) are from the San Francisco mint. These dies received an exta amount of polishing, resulting in the prooflike fields. D mint prooflikes of this era are very unusual.

As for the grade - NGC called it a 65*. This is the most clearly undergraded coin I have ever owned - in hand, it is clearly at least a 66+. There are a couple of small tickmarks on her thigh that do not show well in my picture, and the small mark on the rim - and that is it. The fields, especially on the obverse, are flawless and textured like I have never seen on a Walker.

Yes, I am doing a Registry set - and this one is lucky enough to fill two slots. It fills a position in my Walker set, and in my Prooflike Type Set. I'll link the prooflike set here, since it is a bit more unusual: http://coins.www.collectors-society.com/registry/coins/SetListing.aspx?PeopleSetID=98228
