When I was visiting my local resale shop a few days ago I stumbled upon a box full of old Airquipt/Sawyers slide trays and holders for .10 cents each. I figured that a slide holder is the same size as a 2x2 coin holder.I thought why can't I put a coin in a 2x2 holder and then insert it into the metal slide carrier of the Airquipt slide tray?

Well lo and behold it is a perfect fit.I do not have to staple the coin holder shut, the slide carrier keeps everything tightly closed. And after I mount all my coin holders,I can store them in the slide boxes designed for the slides.how cool and it is very easy to retrieve the coins from the tray.the trays hold 32 holders per each and there is a numbered inventory sheet on the side of the box to ID what is in each slot.Hopefully this is a good use of old slide storage equipment.and a safe way to store the coins because you are not using staples.and the coins look cool in the holders. try it yourself.the slide tays can still be bought on Ebay under Airquipt or Sawyers or GAF slide trays.:high5:
