New US Mint Coin Designs

I'm beginning to think the Mint has contracted out the new coin designs to the local elementary school.
IMO, these coins do not look like John & Jacky Kennedy. They are flat uninspired designs.
The future of new coin designs does not look good.

I agree. The JFK coin was truly a letdown. Just my opinion though.

No, I've been awake for years and years.
However, this is the first time I actually looked at the new designs. Earlier this morning I ordered the new gold Liberty coin. I'm not enthralled with the design but IMO it's better then the Kennedy designs.

 

I agree those designs are terrible. This has been discussed for a long time though.. just thought it was funny you just now noticed

 

I usually collect currency and occasionally check out coins. So, I'm not up to speed with the coin releases from the MINT.

 

Not only are many, (though not all), of the new designs "terrible", but the excessive amount of new issues are detrimental to the hobby.
