They must employ the same IT team that the US Mint does.......

She has to last another week to qualify.
I suppose if she pegged it before then they could keep her going on a ventilator for a few days.

I find it interesting that they list the £5 coin as a crown - I think that's the first time the term 'crown' has been used on the crown-sized coins since they went decimal. Don't have my book near me right now to check though...

Alright, ordered the crown, and threw in the Charlotte birth coin and the Prince George 2nd birthday to make shipping a little more worth while. I don't particularly want to support this trend of celebrating the royal babies' birthdays every year, but the design of St. George on that coin just looks cool...

Yes, I think so too. Then again, on one of the coins you see one crown, and the words "One Crown" below. Maybe it's some sort of explanation. :D Actually those coins also say "£5" and thus state their nominal value in pounds ...

  13. yes, I was aware that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is the longest reigning British monarch, and I could have presented what I had to say a little more mindfully.
I did have a look at the link you sent and found it most interesting and very much to my learning.

If you are primarily interested in the design, the Cu-Ni coin in BU costs £13. The 1 kilo gold piece (not available yet) is a tad more expensive, about £42,000. ;) For all versions and specifications see the link in Kentucky's post #5 above.

Well back when Vicky was Queen it was something like $5 to the pound. But today there's this thing called the Internet and Google and you can type into it "20 UK pounds in US dollars" and it tells you its about 30.54$

    There is around $1.50 to the £1. £20 = $30.

Yikes, 30 dollars seems a bit steep to me. Thanks for the help though :)

In actual spending terms, when you think that the U.S. Coin and Currency set is worth $2 but costs an international buyer $35.80, the UK QE2 coin worth £5 ($7.50) for $30 for an international buyer is a steal!
