And I thought the domed coins (US Baseball, etc) were odd.. Take a look at this new one coming out from Canada... http://news.coinupdate.com/canada-u...ive-first-ever-space-ship-shaped-silver-coin/
Canada seems to be branching out into this field as they also released a Stanley Cup shaped coin: http://www.mint.ca/store/coins/3-oz...ley-cupsupsup---mintage-5000-2017-prod3040423
You know...I'm a huge Star Trek fan but I just can't do this. I'm all into boldly going and whatnot...but not this far.
They’re neat ideas that Canada usually does well, but the premiums they charge on so many things are insane
Some of the foreign mints creat some neat coins.but This coin and, the new light up superhero coins are just weird in my opinion. Thanks, icollectoldmoney
How is it a Canadian coin? I don't see a date, denomination, or Mum. Did I miss them? I like oddball stuff but that's too odd.
I see it now, thanks. I'll still pass on it. Reminds me too much of spade money which I also don't care for.
I’m scared what price tag it’s going to have knowing them. I’m sure I’ll be passing too when I see it
All these made for collector items from the Canadian mint are VERY expensive. Add in their problem with milk spotting and I would definitely pass on this one.
Yes, I've said it before and I'll say it again. The RCM has officially jumped the shark. All they need is a "Fonzie on a motorcycle" coin to make the transition complete.
So I guess the current working definition of "coin" is "small object, made (at least mostly) of metal, designed to separate 'collectors' from their actual units of exchange/stores of value".
