on one of the other silver groups I belong to someone asked about low buy free shipping. I assumed that provident had the cheapest min buy for free shipping as it was the best I've found. Someone else on the group was kind enough to mention The Bullion Exchange. Free ship at 75.00. They also seem to have slightly lower prices on some stuff It was enough to get me to place an order. I ordered their generics. I let ya know.
Forgot to mention the one thing I don't like. No money orders or checks under 300. I find that annoying.
I buy silver only two ways now: 1. Someone I know brings it to my front door, and I pay in cash. 2. One of the daily "bullion specials" on eBay, which you receive (3 or 4 a day) by changing your "Preferences" on eBay promotions. They are always postpaid and insured, the sellers (often Apmex) have positive Feedback in the tens of thousands, and the price (for that one day) may run 6% to 10% under normal retail. Plus you get eBay Bucks, which aren't worth much, but they're better than nothing. In 2016, I bought 5 "specials" from 3 different Sellers, with no problems. Plus on eBay, it's the Buyer who's firmly in the driver's seat, in case of a problem. My educated guess is that those low prices are possible only because eBay writes contracts with major dealers to participate for a Seller's fee of 1% or 2%. The one downside is that you can't specify what you want, you have to take what's being offered. But it will be something different tomorrow. A few days ago, the special was utility-grade Morgan dollars (F-VF) MUCH cheaper than I could buy them locally, but that didn't interest me. ======== I won't buy off CraigsList any more, it's too wild and woolly, plus "someone" then knows you collect coins and knows where you live...
