I bought a safe in November and got a great deal on it.... they even through in placement in the house for 50 bucks! I asked if that included taking it downstairs, and they said that is usually 100, but they gave it to me for only 50! The four deliverymen had a bugger of a time, too! They told me not to call them if I move, as it was never leaving the basement. So I have absolutely no worries of anyone waltzing off with my 800 pound (when empty) safe up the stairs and out the door. Actually, if they can do it, I'd almost say they deserve it! (but not quite).
Well since you were wondering....and they are both bolted down...and my rot Blitz makes sure only guests are welcomed.
yea this was curbside only .... so i called my mother to go over and drag it up stairs for me since i was at work........ An old Steve Martin joke.
re: coins with guns Look at it this way...while your on your knees unlocking your safe cuz your being robbed, opened you can reach in, turn around and blow the guys face off BTW..those boxes in your safe, are they all mint sets?
Twiggs,I like the thought of shooting a robber straight in the testicles. Then they'd have much more than sore nuts. Grizz,of course,a safe always comes empty, which is why you have to fill it up. Aidan.
Uhh... but Aidan, on some robbers that might be a difficult shot ...LMAO At least if you shoot him in the face he won't be able to see whats in your safe
Have I mentioned that I like you ? LOL Do I see some rabbit ears on the old double-barrel ? Some nice pieces there Craig.
Yup. Its a Rossi coach gun i bought in AZ about 15yrs ago. next to it a a Savage DB that my grandfather sawed off(To legal specs btw). ''For when conditions warrant it.'', he use to say.
Its a Redhead. got it from Bass pro shop on line. The gun safe in also a Redhead...I have a thing for redheads. lol.
You're welcome! I'm a fanatic about packaging. I actually store my proof set boxes separately from the coins so I don't have to stress the boxes by opening them to look at the coins. I have no plans to sell my collection, but at some far off time in the future, it would be easier to sell them with nice clean looking boxes. I'm always a little disappointed when I purchase something like an old proof set or commemorative and the box looks like the seller kept it in the trunk of his car since he bought it in the 1980's.
