The hologram is on the inside and can't be touched now.

Way too many 4 figure coins for that (Remember EVERY double eagle is a 4 figure coin.) Maybe five or even six figure coin. Even at that there are probably hundreds of six figure coins out there. Your talking about a LOT of dedicated webpages.

Only took them 25 years to figure out how to keep the hologram from being damaged. Put it inside the slab!

It is interesting that it took them so long.

A friend who lives out in California got me periodic table poster. I'm thinking about having it framed.

Do you realize that a "dedicated webpage" is/can be nothing more that a little bit of data in a database? Millions of "dedicated webpages" can easily be handled by a fairly reasonable database server.

I received several coins back in the new PCGS holders at the recent Long Beach show. Also got one of the sample slabs of the new PCGS holder at the show.

The new hologram is NOT on the inside of the slab. It is certainly on the exterior surface, just like the last hologram. However, this new hologram isn't simply a sticker like the last one. Instead, this one appears to be extremely durable and almost seems to be painted on somehow and can't just be picked off. I was able to scratch part of the hologram off with a key though, so it most definitely can be damaged, but it isn't easy to do so like with the last one.

I like the idea of QR code. Now we are talking about new technology!
