Milne] that contemporary forgeries of Alexandrian coins are rare and most counterfeits are of modern origin. However, the counterfeiter&#039;s hoard published by Metcalf was acquired by E.T. Newell at Luxor in March, 1908 and is now in the collection of the American Numismatic Society.
