    Thank you, I had not thought of it that way. I will take your advice. This is a new fascination and I am quite overwhelmed, only did it to try and help my parents then turned it into what seems to be a full time hobby :)

    This is another that keeps catching my eye.. These stripe go underneath the first S in the word STATES so I don't know how that can be done post mint? Can you give me info about this one particular? DSCN0379.JPG

    Actually, if you look carefully where they cross the "S", they indent the letter, so they were produced after the strike, so post mint damage. Welcome to the forum.
