After that, a bunch of them were produced on Eisenhower Dollars both CnClad and Silver Coins. My hopes were to land one which was done over a Doubled Die Ike but I never did find one.</p><p><br /></p><p>Mels work has a place in numismatic history along the lines of exonumia in that each piece was struck on an existing coin.</p><p><br /></p><p>I&#039;m faily excited about this new piece since I&#039;d assumed that Mel had retired from the over struck business but evidently he felt that the Pope&#039;s visit in September was important enough to draw him out of retirement.
