I'm with Chris - better photos make all the difference! Coin photograph, especially since I share my collection online, is something I am working on and I find it very satisfying. Cool commemorative @Hunt1 and I don't think I've seen one before.
If Hunt hadn't blocked the Cert. # you would realize that it is the same coin in the new Edge View holder with just a little tweak of the white balance for the photo. Chris
He found the cert number by searching NGCs sight and\or registry sets I presume. Notice the slab he posted doesn't have the cert number blocked out.
I guess I should have spelled it out completely. "What's the point of Hunt (and many others who have done this) blacking out the Cert #. I didn't need an explanation, but it does point out the fact that quite often people take things the wrong way. Chris
Ah yes...i believe the point is to keep this from happening... Another topic that is at the list of new posts for the day. Falsifying Registry Sets by stealing cert numbers...maybe https://www.cointalk.com/threads/registry-sets-flawed-system.268304/#post-2230605
NGC has an App called NGC Coin Details where you can type in the Cert# to get the coin info or scan the barcode to get the info. Or sometimes, such as in this slab, I just use my regular Barcode Scanner which usually gives me a long set of numbers. The last 10 numbers are the NGC cert# then you type that number over at the NGC Verification tool on their website
