Frank Robinson has announced a new auction closing on October 23rd, I just received the bidlist in the mail and also the email from Frank a couple of days ago. Lots of nice coins in there and some potential to fill a couple of holes in my collection, so I am really looking forward to it.

Rather than the online bidding system requiring you to register the auction has returned to its former system - bidding by telephone and email. I expect this will simplify things significantly.

If you email Frank you can be added to his email list, fyi.

P.S. I am posting this mainly for newer collectors who may not be familiar with his auctions, which feature a lot of really great coins.

FR himself posted here about his auction a couple of days ago and faced the wrath of the CT members

He did? Didn't see it. I found out about these from other CT members a few months back and was very grateful in hindsight. Otherwise I never would have known about them.

I have a few bids in on his latest auction. Cool stuff.

If you’re a new collector it’s definitely a good way to dip into auctions. Earlier this year was my first experience.

No buyers fees and reduced bid pricing is very nice. Frank describes the coins very well. Super easy to email him your bids. Coins are usually nicer than the photos, too. ;)

Not bidding but am ordering some more of his Palembang Tin Pitus coins.

I think I'll probably bid on three or four.
