You realize he was comparing them to clad coins. I don't recall clad coins in the 40's.

Yes. And I meant to quote this.
No there is no discernable difference between a nickel or silver Jefferson when dropping on a hard surface.

Just another extreme case of wishful thinking. Meow does it all the time too, about everything in life.

Call your local coin stores, "We Buy Gold & Silver" stores, or pawn shops.

Given all the counterfeit silver coming from China, nowadays a well-equipped store has an XRF Tester. And they'll probably test your coins for free.

While such coins exist, some random collector claiming they have 2, is ludicrous.
Plus they look like silver. They don't look anything like regular nickels.

I hope they turn out on silver for you because all the professionals in this room that they’re opinion you might as well take us. The gospel are basically telling you it’s impossible for you to have them because they don’t have one. It’s the arrogance of the people on the internet coin collecting. They like to be rude, so this would be the last place I would ever come for the opinion cause let’s face it probably half these people in here sell copiers for their full-time job

LuckyJohn couldn't get that lucky today.
There are ways to check out a coin and if the multiple tests are inconclusive, there is equipment the big boys play with ( like Ben Franklin) that seldom tell a lie.

What do you call what you're being right here? And this thread is nearly five years old, chum.

Wow, this is quite and old thread to get notifications from. Anyway, it is quite obvious that those nickels where silver. And for some chance they were not, and to have 2 of them? Lottery tickets pay off way better than that chance. But Meow did experience a true find that many refused to believe was real. And even with proof, most still refused to accept it. Even Meow would have said no way, even when Meow found it. But found proof of its authenticity moments later. So it does happen. That impossible thing. Meow's thing had no real value anyway, but it was hard to convince others it was real.

I know right? Nobody believes that I have a 1938 Nickel struck over a 1993 Silver Dollar.

Even with this kind of proof . . . .

You two are assuming it wants to be called him. Very possible, by the whining the troll does it might want to be addressed as it/she. Expand your minds. :banghead:
