A new fake I haven't seem before. But a couple popped up on eBay. Sad to see the bid go even this high. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/202394910245 This is actually much better than previous fakes I've seen of the taler (same coin in silver), but still a lot of mistakes are present if you know where to look.
He's from China, and says he just sells what's supplied to him.... yeah, no red flags there! I am not familiar with these coins at all - can you post a genuine example so we can see what it should look like?
Here's an original. There were also modern official restrikes made. https://coins.ha.com/itm/hungary/wo...3048-32343.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515
Hey guys, the these sentences from the listing completely absolves this seller: "I'm just a salesman and sell those items that my suppliers supply to me. I am not an expert and can not guarantee the authenticity of all coins, banknotes and other goods. I ask you to make your own decisions based on the submitted original photos." So, basically, "if I sell you a fake, that your problem." So there. (That's how it works, right?)
